How We Started

In 1994, after 10 years working in various sales management fields, Rahul Puri founded AVTECH to assist production Studios to address the challenges of rapidly changing technologies in the broadcast industry. Rahul focused on building open and honest relationships with customers based on their needs and wants and assisted them in choosing technologies and systems that maximized their return on investment. Later in the year 1995, Rajiv Puri also associated and stepped in the growth of company. Both Brothers created partnerships with their clients by understanding their businesses first and then advising them on technology with a focus on cost-of-ownership and future scalability. These partnerships allowed clients to avoid costly mistakes and advance their technology goals well into the future.

We operate on the same principles that Rahul formed in the company over 15 years ago. Our support services are available for any type of DTH Service Provider, TV Channel, Production Studio, Institution, Broadcast System or Facility.
Our technicians have experienced troubleshooting on a wide variety of A-V and broadcast equipments. If your problem requires manufacturer support, our Support Services team has years of experience working with the major equipment vendors and can quickly navigate the manufacturer’s technical support system to resolve technical issues.

Project Planning

As soon as a project is launched, we appoint a project manager who co-ordinates and manages every aspect of the job. AVTECH project managers are trained in project management techniques to Price to standards and all have records of successful delivery in the past. Where necessary, we allocate specialists or experts to various tasks and phases in the project.

An Important part of the manager's responsibility is the management of the project schedule which includes information on planned and allocated resources and specifies who is responsible for each task. The project plan also specifies procedures for agreeing changes in system requirements which may become apparent during the project:

Workflow Design

We have a thorough understanding of broadcast operations and workflow gained over many years of close co-operation with a wide variety of customers. An essential part of any projects is the capture of requirements coupled with the analysis of current workflow and of how it needs to change. The objective is the design of a new workflow enabling the most effective use of resources to achieve the desired results.

Systems Installation

All aspects of design for video, audio and control systems are carried out by AVTECH Engineers.

Systems schematics, equipments and wiring layouts are produced for the customer approval followed by the production of cable schedules. Area layouts including technical furniture designs are produced paying attention to ergonomic and aesthetic requirements.

Using a team of experienced broadcast wiremen, partial or complete system pre build can be undertaken at our premises prior to on-site implementation.

Commissioning

AVTECH installations are followed by a systematic end to end test of the installation, together with a full performance test of the delivered equipment before the system is formally commissioned.

Commissioning & Acceptance Testing includes:

Acceptance Tests: A Site Acceptance Test (SAT) document will be prepared for each operational area or sub system.

The SAT covers three main areas:

Installation Standards: An acceptance by the customer that installation has been carried out to professional standards is fully documented and that all equipments are fully operational.

Operational Features: Some operational tests will be carried out utilizing the facilities provided in each area.

Workflow: Tests will be carried out to show agreed functionality as defined in Project Definition Document (PDD).

Training

We design and deliver training course at every level, from high system management to basic user training. We offer operational training and system support courses, either as part of a project or as an individual service product.
